Wydeman Coetzee

Wydeman Coetzee is a public policy and regulatory affairs leader with over 20 years of experience in the ICT, telecommunications, and government sectors. He currently serves as Public Policy Manager, SADC at Meta, where he leads policy advocacy, regulatory strategy, and stakeholder engagement across Southern Africa.

Wydeman is also the Founder and Managing Partner of Global Policy Partners (GPP), a specialized advisory firm that provides strategic counsel on legal, regulatory, and policy matters. GPP helps clients navigate complex regulatory environments, develop market access strategies, and advance digital connectivity across Africa. The firm partners with governments, regulators, and private sector organizations to shape policy, manage compliance, and unlock opportunities in the digital economy.

Throughout his career, Wydeman has played a pivotal role in shaping telecommunications policy and supporting national and regional development initiatives. His expertise includes ICT & telecommunications policy, spectrum management, stakeholder relations, and regulatory strategy, with a proven track record advising both government and private sector clients.

He holds a Master of International Law (Air, Space & Telecommunications) from the University of Pretoria, a Post-Graduate Degree in ICT Law from the University of Witwatersrand, and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of the Western Cape.
